McArthur-Burney Falls Memorial State Park

The McArthur-Burney Falls Memorial State Park is located in the Cascade Mountain Range and Modoc Plateau natural region, offering five miles of forest, streamside and lake shoreline, and follows a portion of Lake Britton. This incredible 2020 TripAdvisor Travelers’ Choice Award-winning attraction includes a beautiful 129-foot waterfall, Burney Falls. Burney Creek flows from the park’s underground springs to Lake Britton where it flows over the cascading waterfall.

The park was formed from the area’s rich volcanic activity and erosion from weather, creating a flow of 100 million gallons of water each day. There are five miles of hiking trails throughout the park's evergreen forests including the Pacific Crest Trail.
